DESCRIPTION

·         Temperature detectors monitor high and low temperatures, as well as monitoring the rate at which the temperature increases. If the temperature in an area of the house becomes unusually hot or cold, the detector will emit a warning sound, and in some cases, send an alert to the monitoring centre. The detector may sense a rise in temperature if, for example, the air conditioning breaks down on an unseasonably hot day; or if a pot in the kitchen has boiled over. The detector may sense a drop in temperature if, for example, the household heating system has failed.
